Copper Bishop Ginkgo Jigger

$ 275.00

The Copper Bishop Ginkgo Jigger is the newest addition to the barware collection by Ben & Lael.

A jigger is a staple at every bar and used to measure spirits for cocktails.  While it is tempting to pour them freehand it is easy to throw off the balance in a cocktail and the jigger makes it easy to measure precisely.

The term jigger comes from across the pond, as do so many other terms in common use.  In the Royal British Navy "jigger" was the name of the sailor's daily ration of rum and the metal cup that it was served in.

The Ben & Lael Silver Bishop Ginkgo Jigger was named after Deborah Bishop, a longtime friend and client, who challenged Ben to design it using her ideas, the slight flare and the ginkgo motif.  How could we not name it after her?

The larger side measures out 1.5 oz and the smaller side measures 1 oz, the standard measures for a cocktail jigger.

Our Copper Bishop Ginkgo Jigger is made individually by hand.  The shape is based on the classic jigger and gives a nod to the elegant and beautiful ginkgo leaf, one of Deborah's favorite collections from Ben & Lael.  The jigger is hand planished to give it texture.
